HAND DRAWN BRUSHES
Hand drawn brushes are typically used in more aggressive applications where a very secure mounting of the bristle is essential. Hand drawn is always the best choice for harsh conditions such as heat, caustic, and other environmental issues resulting in high wear.
HOW IT’S MADE
Individual tufts of filament are drawn through holes in the base and tied off. The selection of core material often dictates the use of this brush type. If the core cross section is too thin for staple set construction, the hand drawn process can be used.
Hand drawn construction is appropriate when the core material is:
• Metallic or the substrate is too brittle for staple set construction
• Flexible or too soft for staple set construction
• Incompatible with the bristle for fused construction
OPTIONS
Hand drawn products allow the buyer to purchase the brush core and have the filament replaced multiple times pending core condition.
